Booktowne is proud to offer childrens books for all ages for the beginning reader to teen readers. Our children collection includes award winners like The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brain Selznick and The Three Questions by Jon Muth to classics like Velveteen Rabbit by William Nickolson and Good Night Moon by Margaret Brown. We are excited to introduce you to KidzLit, our monthly newsletter designed to keep you informed on children's book releases, events and promotions going on at BookTowne. Designed for early teens and middle readers, this newsletter will give insight into books that relate to this age group. We also have a section for readers to send us their ideas for books they have read. We are looking for kids between the ages of 9 and 13 to read and give their opinion on middle grade novels. If you're interested and wouldn't mind answering a few questions about the book you read, please email Heather@booktowne.com. Interviews will be featured in this newsletter every month! On Tuesday mornings, we have Storytime for young children to hear wonderful stories read to them by our staff. We also have book discussions for kids. Open our door and walk on in to a world of adventure and
imagination and fun that both your child and you can enjoy together
here. On a reccent evening, childrens author James Howe introduced characters
from his book "Brontorina" , a lovable dinosaur whose size
is outmatched only by her determination, and whose talent is outmatched
only by her charm. Accompanied by Randy Cecil's beguiling illustrations,
here is an irresistible story that proves that no problem is too big
when the heart and imagination know no bounds. |
